Tonight I went to the Circus Oz performance which is part of the Christchurch Arts Festival
Here is a snippet of what it was about……
Circus Oz, the premier national circus of Australia, brings a distinctly Aussie larrikin flavour to the circus spectacle, specialising in frenetic, eye catching acrobatics, breathtaking, death defying stunts, sparkling comedy with a live band that ll have the house begging for more.
I was really impressed with the show. My favourites was the guy that did the freestyle bmx riding and funnily enough he also performed the contact juggling as well.
Took advantage of the great $39 Airfares Pacific Blue were offering to Wellington. A chance to catch up with some friends.
Going to Wellington on 2 different dates.
Leave to Wellington on 16 Nov and arrive at 7.30am
Return to Christchurch on 19 Nov arrive at 1.35pm
Leave to Wellington on 29 Dec and arrive at 7.30am
Return to Christchurch on 03 Jan arrive at 1.35pm
Today I booked a flight to Auckland using my Airnz airpoints. I had a few points which were about to expire so I thought I may as well use them up and take a short trip.
Leave to Auckland on 28 Sept at 12.00pm
Return to Christchurch on 01 Oct at 8.45pm
I plan to have a look around Auckland as well as catching up with a few friends. Then on Sat on going to Gods Kitchen party.
Debs and I went up the Christchurch Gondola today. It’s been a while since I have been up the Gondola so was looking forward to it. I had a couple of free tickets from when I took Olana on the tram for her guidedog training last month.
Was rather windy day, surprising the Gondola did not swing or sway much in the wind at all like I thought it may do. Was windy on the viewing platform at the top though, specially around the Lyttelton side.
Another interesting person we meet up at the top was a blind gentleman with his Dalmatian guidedog which he has had for the past 10 years. The poor little guidedog was finding it rather chilly up the top and was shivering even waiting inside.
Debs purchased the photo’s they take as you jump in the Gondola at the bottom. And then they have them all printed and presented in a nice little folder with cdrom which they try and sell you for only $45. Bargain I thought! NOT

As you can see they super impose the photo’s onto other backgrounds. Not my greatest photo really.
Went to my favourite coffee shop today. Awesome hot chocolates, yum! Have been going to Dot Com at least once a week for the last 4 weeks. Today I sampled one of their Venison & Mushroom pies, doesn’t sound exciting but it was rather tasty. Because the pie was so good I had a carrot cake which was mouth watering tasty indeed. Yup! Recommended for sure!!!! Took a photo, thats my friend Jen walking by the entrance.
