Got my new balls today. Ha ha. Funny how that sounds hey?
The Plastic one is going to be great for learning as its a bit bigger (100mm) than my other silicon ones (75mm) and they are a little heavier which seems to make a difference when maneuvering the ball.
As for the UV Acyclic ball this is just awesome, again 100mm but really heavy, you don’t wanna drop this sucker very often. Its so pretty and when you turn out the light and just have a UV Light it glows and cool greenish blue.
Hmm practice makes perfect, I think this will take me many years to perfect but I will have some fun………… to be continued.
I brought the Mister Babache Contact Ball I thought this ball would be great for practise and learning the basics. My previous silicon balls were quiet small and pretty light so this should be a good start. Once I have mastered this ball then I also got the Clear Ultraviolet Ball this will be the cool ball which should look wicked under UV Light and I am hoping its clear enough to get reflections when you look at the ball.
Jen told me about this contact juggler at Riccarton Park Markets that she saw the previous week. She said I would have to go out with her to met this guy.
We started walking around to find this juggler dude. Then we found him doing his contact juggling under a tree, he had a single acrylic ball 100mm size and was doing illusion type movements as well as some cool transitions. He mentioned he was going to be doing some classes to teach people who were interested so I gave him my number. I can’t wait to hear from him.

I recently found out there is a name for this amazing art form. Commonly called contact juggling but also known as Dynamic Manipulation, Sphereplay or Orb Rolling. I decided to buy some contact juggling balls and an instructional dvd and try my luck at learning how to do this absolutely mesmerising form of juggling.
